THE YEAR IN REVIEW

I hope I get everything in, I'm trying to showcase the entire year of work.

IT ONLY TOOK ALL YEAR...

but, I finally finished my E30 poster. I began at the start of the year, but kinda forgot about it after I couldn't figure out what to do with it. I finally decided to put it on a background of BMW racing colors, with the E30 text over it, which brings everything together. I really am happy to have finished this peace, and that it turned out this well!

Superhero Finished!

This week, I finished my superhero project! I decided to do Polar- the bipolar superhero/villan. I like the way this piece turned out, it's very cool. I learned a bit more about blending options, especially layer effects, and gradient overlays, which I used extensively throughout this piece. This was definitely a good learning opportunity for me, and I can see myself using most everything that I learned through this on later pieces.

Superhero Part 1

This week I began work on my super hero project. I'm making a bipolar superhero/villan which I think I'm going to call Polar. The idea is coming along pretty well so far, I like where it's going. This is what I have done.

Pun Project

This week, we've worked on projects based on puns. After watching Arrested Development this weekend, I got some ideas for a fun pun project, with an Arrested Development theme. I'm using the pun that has to do with someone who has lost a hand, but it's ok, they're all right. I probably will make the pun less awkwardly wordy for my project.

Vexel Piece

This week, we did a tutorial on making vexel art. I think that what resulted was, once again, one of my best pieces. I really enjoyed this project, which is why I think that I was able to really get into it and do good work. I enjoyed getting to learn more about using the pen tool, and I can tell that I'm getting more proficient with it.

Global Warming Gif

This week, I finished my Global Warming GIF. I like the way it turned out. I think I'm gonna clean it up, and then I'll probably put it on my tumblr. It took a lot of time, and I'm proud of my effort.
